About Dee Carr

Dee Carr is a Georgia-based writer who believes that some of the most important truths in life can only be heard when we slow down enough to truly listen.

He holds a Master’s degree in Human Services from the University of Alabama and works at the intersection of civil rights, accessibility, and advocacy. His work is rooted in a commitment to creating spaces where dignity, inclusion, and opportunity are not ideals—but realities accessible to all.

Carr writes with a deep curiosity about the human experience, exploring the quiet lessons, unspoken truths, and moments of becoming that often go unnoticed.

His work invites readers to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with themselves, with others, and with what matters most.

Beyond his professional and creative work, Dee brings a vibrant and grounded perspective to everything he creates. He is an avid comic enthusiast and collector, drawn to the power of storytelling across worlds both imagined and real.

He finds balance and inspiration in nature, often spending time on hikes where clarity, stillness, and reflection shape his voice.

He is also the proud parent of seven exotic pets, a role that reflects both his curiosity and care for life in all its forms. These passions—storytelling, nature, and nurturing—continue to fuel his creative process and deepen the authenticity of his work.

Through both his writing and his advocacy, Dee Carr creates space for people to feel seen, heard, and understood—and invites others to engage, reflect, and listen more closely to the world around them.

I Didn’t Break — I Became

I didn’t break— I was stripped of what was never me. What fell was performance, not identity. Silence revealed what noise kept hidden. Pain showed me where I abandoned myself to belong. So I stopped rebuilding what required my disappearance. And what remained— was truth with my name on it.
